Kenny Omega defeats Brian Cage, but Don Callis gets the last laugh.
The January 15 edition of AEW Dynamite opened with a huge match, as Kenny Omega made his in-ring return for AEW in a singles match for Brian Cage.
As expected, 'The Cleaner' was victorious in his match, defeating Cage via pinfall after hitting him with his signature One Winged Angel.

The aftermath wasn't pretty for Omega, as Don Callis and his faction issued an attack on Omega. Will Ospreay attempted to help Omega even the odds before Konosuke Takeshita made his return to the company. Takeshita and the Don Callis family stood tall over Omega and Ospreay to end the segment.

Takeshita's return comes after he last competed in the promotion at the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 18.
