Omega first won the belt at Heroes Inmortales XIII on October 19 when he pinned Rey Fenix. Since then, he hasn't defended the belt but AAA previously announced that Omega was going to defend his title against Dragon Lee at the TripleMania Regia event on December 1.
This is the second time Omega had a match at AEW Dark with the first one taking place on October 9 and aired on October 15 when he defeated Joey Janela. Evans is a regular on AEW Dark, mostly competing in tag matches alongside his partner Angelico.
Fightful will have live coverage and a live stream of AEW Dark.
