Wearing a "Kevin Is Right" shirt, Owens came out, but seemingly was going to let things go. Instead, Owens came to the ring and the brawl was on.

Orton got the better of the exchanges, but as officials pulled them apart, Owens kicked Orton in the gut and delivered a piledriver.

Michael Cole noted on commentary that Orton was out from May 2022 to November 2023 after undergoing spinal fusion surgery and that the piledriver has been banned for years. Medical officials came down to attend to Orton, who was tasked off on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. Cody Rhodes accompanied Orton in the ambulance.

Owens and Orton were scheduled to compete at WWE Crown Jewel, but Owens attacked Orton with a chair before the match began. The two men brawl around the arena and things eventually called after Owens hit an elbow drop off the stage and through a table on Orton.

Later in the night, Michael Cole stated that Orton was being evaluated for undisclosed cervical injuries.
