Kevin Owens responds to Cody Rhodes.
In a new social media video, Owens addressed his absence from WWE SmackDown and being dealt with internally.
Owens said it is getting harder to do his job because he's punished for things that are not his fault. He said he showed up to the arena and was turned away because of what he did to Randy Orton. Owens said what he did to Orton was his job.
He said he made it clear to Orton that he didn't want to fight him, but Orton demanded the match. "I showed up to Crown Jewel and did my job." Owens said that Triple H tried to warn Orton of what was going to happen. "All I did is do what they asked me to do." Owens said it is not fair that he got punished for doing his job.
Owens said Nick Aldis called him to show up to SmackDown next Friday because Cody Rhodes wants him there. Owens said he's going to show up for himself because he happens to love Utah. "Everyone needs to remember one thing, I'm just doing what you all want me to do. I'm just doing my job."

Cody Rhodes called out Owens to open WWE SmackDown, but was greeted by WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, who said Owens wasn't there and the matter was being dealt with internally.
Owens hit a piledriver on Orton last Friday on WWE SmackDown, leading to Orton being taken out on a stretcher. He is out indefinitely.
