Konnan comments on Dominik Mysterio walking out on his father's WWE Hall Of Fame speech.
Fans didn't respond kindly to Dominik Mysterio when he abruptly walked out of his father, Rey Mysterio's speech at the 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony. Rey would go on to get a bit of payback the following night, as he was able to defeat his son in a singles match on night one of WrestleMania 39.
Dominik's angle at the Hall Of Fame has been a topic of discussion in recent weeks, as some fans think the incident crossed the line in terms of his feud with Rey.
In a new interview with Nick Hausman, Konnan, who inducted 'The Master Of The 619' into the Hall Of Fame, commented on the angle and said he was a big fan of it.
“Yeah, and it was very subtly done without having to get into physicality or anything like that. That was excellent.”
Konnan was also asked about Dominik Mysterio's current standing in WWE and if he is the biggest heel in the company at the moment.
“I don’t think so. They wouldn’t even let him talk [in the promo on SmackDown], it was incredible.”
Nick Hausman also went on to ask Konnan if Dominik is a currently better heel than AEW World Champion MJF.
“I don’t know, that’s hard to say. They’re just kinda different heels, the thing is that people like MJF, people don’t like Dominik, so he is a heel. [MJF] went out in Long Island and he’s trying to get over and I don’t think Dominik would ever do that if he went to San Diego.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Konnan discussed Kenny Omega and his exclusion from AAA TripleMania. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
