Speaking backstage following NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling, Kosei Fujita accepted Gabe Kidd's challenge. Kidd then took to Twitter/X to respond, and he vowed that their match would show the true spirit of NJPW.

As of this writing, NJPW has not confirmed the title match.

Kidd recently defended the championship against Anthony Henry on the October 10th episode of ROH on HonorClu.
