Ibushi underwent surgery on the ankle on January 17, 2024. He was diagnosed with a right tibiofibular ligament tear and a right ankle lateral ligament injury by Pro Wrestling NOAH after competing against Naomichi Marufuji at NOAH The New Year earlier that month.
Kota Ibushi signed with All Elite Wrestling in November 2023 after wrestling alongside Kenny Omega, Paul Wight, and Chris Jericho in a Street Fight against Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs.
Fightful will provide more updates on Ibushi's recovery from injury as they are made available. In the meantime, check out the lineup for the June 19 edition of AEW Dynamite here.
