Kris Statlander is ready to take down Mercedes Mone.
At Full Gear, Kris Statlander will compete in her biggest AEW match yet, as she'll face off with Mercedes Mone in a match for the TBS Championship. Notably, this will be Statlander's first time challenging for the title since losing it to Julia Hart at last year's Full Gear event.
Statlander appears to have the upper hand headed into the match, as she laid out Mone with a Wednesday Night Fever piledriver on the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
While speaking to Will Washington and Aubrey Edwards on the latest edition of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Statlander said that she's ready to knock Mone off of her high horse at Full Gear.
“I’m feeling more ready than ever to reclaim my throne as the TBS Champion. As we all know, Full Gear last year, I lost the title, but never got pinned for the title. I feel like if anything, this past year has really proven that I’m more worthy of a title than ever, especially given the past couple pay-per-views I’ve been very lucky to be a part of. I think it’s about time somebody knocks Mercedes off her high horse to speak because we all know who the rightful champion should be and that’s me.”
