Kris Statlander On Punching Orange Cassidy: He Wasn't There For Me, He Was Never My Best Friend

The downfall of The Best Friends continues.

On the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kris Statlander punched Orange Cassidy after he had a confrontation with Trent Beretta. Beretta and Cassidy have been feuding in recent weeks, as Trent previously turned on him and Chuck Taylor. Statlander clearly sided with Beretta on the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.

In a digital exclusive, Kris Statlander was asked to explain her actions.

Kris Statlander: Why? You wanna know why? 2021. My first major injury. I came back in the Arcade Anarchy match for Orange. My second major injury, a month after my surgery, I flew internationally to be there for Orange when he won his first-ever title here at AEW. When he lost that title, I made sure I was there to carry his bloody and sweaty body up that ramp, with his chest and his head held high because I was so proud of the work that he did, and I wanted him to be proud of it too. But when I lost my title, when I went on a streak of losing matches, when everyone was turning on me, where were you, Orange?

Trent Beretta: He wasn’t there. Big surprise. I was, though. I’m a good person.

KS: All I ever wanted, Orange, was to be your best friend. But you, you were never mine.

TB: Does this not prove me right, what I’ve been saying all along? Orange Cassidy is a narcissist, a sociopath. He has mental issues, and he takes advantage of people like us.
