Kurt Angle speaks highly of Baron Corbin.
On November 1, Fightful reported that WWE would not be renewing Corbin's contract. Corbin had a memorable WWE career, as he won the King of the Ring tournament and defeated Kurt Angle in his retirement match at WWE WrestleMania 35.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Kurt Angle was asked to share his thoughts on Baron Corbin's future.
“Baron’s really talented. I see a lot of potential in him. I was really disappointed with what WWE did with him. They pushed him at first, they had him beat me at WrestleMania for my retirement match, which is fine. I was okay with that. But then afterward, they had him win King of the Ring, and then he kind of fell off the radar, and he never really made it back. At least not to the extent that he should have. When you win King of the Ring, that means you’re gonna be a future world champion, and that did not happen for Corbin. I was really disappointed. I just wish that Baron Corbin would have had a much more successful career because he deserves that," Angle said.
