Kurt Angle Elaborates On His Comments About Bloodline Story, Still Thinks It's In The Eighth Inning

Kurt Angle maintains that the Bloodline story is in the eighth inning.

Since 2020, Roman Reigns and the Bloodline have been prominently featured on WWE TV. The storyline has featured various twists and turns. At WWE SummerSlam, Jimmy Uso turned on Jey Uso and cost him his match against Reigns. On the following episode of WWE SmackDown, Jey seemingly walked out of WWE.

After WWE SummerSlam, Paul Heyman stated that the Bloodline story was in the bottom of the third inning. Angle shared his thoughts on the quote and noted that he felt like the story was actually in the eighth inning. Heyman then responded and quipped that Angle was looking for exposure through the next Old Timers' Day.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about Heyman's response. He also elaborated on his comments about the Bloodline story and repeated that he thinks it's in the eighth inning.

“Whether it’s true or not, at least Paul Heyman has some thick skin. He wasn’t real serious about that. I don’t think so. I think he was joking back. But what I said about that, whether I’m right or not, put it this way, most storylines that they do, they don’t know the complete end to it anyway. They just keep going and going, and they keep adding to it, then they take away, then they add more to it. You just don’t know when it’s gonna be done. The Bloodline, this storyline has been incredible. It’s been really entertaining, I’m not gonna lie to you. But I think he is in the eighth inning, and he’s wondering, what the hell do we do next? But I’m excited to see what happens," Angle said.

Angle subsequently noted that WWE almost always finds a way to deliver in the end.

Eric Bischoff recently shared his thoughts on the Bloodline story and stated that it was okay to make an error in the third inning. Click here to see what he had to say.
