Kurt Angle talks Finn Balor's loss to Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam.
Finn Balor came up short against Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam 2023 in his second attempt to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. Aside from a return to NXT in 2019 leading to a second run as WWE NXT Champion, Balor has yet to capture a WWE World Title since being forced to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship just one night after he became the inaugural champion at WWE SummerSlam 2016.
Kurt Angle spoke about Finn Balor's loss at SummerSlam on the most recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, saying that although he doesn't want Finn Balor to leave WWE, he wouldn't blame him if he does should WWE continue not to give him big time victories.
"Well, you know what, it would have been nice if they would have given him this World Title. I think he's really over, incredibly athletic. He has a lot of charisma. This kid, you know, if WWE doesn't end up doing something with him, that's dramatic, I wouldn't blame him if he went off and went somewhere else," Angle said. "I don't want to see him do that because I love the WWE, and I think he's a good fit for them, but they need to start putting this kid over. He deserves it."
Despite his own lack of championship success, Finn Balor has talked about enjoying his time with Judgment Day and helping Dominik Mysterio, the current WWE NXT North American Champion come into his own. Read more here.
Kurt Angle also discussed the latest chapter of The Bloodline storyline on this podcast. Angle openly said that he believed Paul Heyman was full of crap when he said that the angle was only in its third inning. Read more here.
