Kurt Angle wants to be American Alpha's manager.

This is not a drill, people.

Jeff Jarrett Explains Why He Doesn't Think The Pay-Per-View Model Will Ever Fully Go Away

Speaking with The Gorilla Podcast and reported by Sky Sports, the 2017 WWE Hall of Famer and former Olympic Gold Medalist said he's been following the SmackDown Tag Team Champions and he likes what he sees. A lot.

"I love watching American Alpha," said Angle. "They have such a gift. They remind me so much of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin in the old Team Angle, while this Gable kid also reminds me a little bit of myself, so I would be happy to manage them to some extent."

Angle won Gold in freestyle wrestling at the Atlanta Olympics back in 1996, while Gable was a Greco-Roman wreslter in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Jordan is no slouch as an amateur wrestler, either. once going 35-0 at Indiana University, competing at 225 pounds against guys that sometimes outweighed him by 60 lbs.

Angle's influence on Gable and Jordan could make American Alpha one of the top teams in the world.

But just in case we don't do that right away, there's the little matter of Kurt Angle getting back in the ring to wrestle, something WWE is reportedly going to have him do sooner rather than later.

Not as soon as WrestleMania, however, according to Angle.

"I will not be wrestling at WrestleMania but we will find out soon after that whether I will wrestle [for WWE] or not," he said, and when asked who he'd like to face, the names started rolling off the tongue pretty quick. You can tell he's been thinking about this.

"There are so many guys I would love to work with because the roster is so well-groomed - you have Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, Rusev, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles." Angle, having left WWE in 2006, has never faced any of those men--except Styles, with whom he fought on many occasions during their time in TNA. But there are other guys he'd like to take on just one more time, he says.

"I would also love to go again with Randy Orton, John Cena, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker - Taker versus Angle would be an awesome WrestleMania match."

Regardless of who he faces, where, or when, it will be nice to see Kurt Angle walk down that ramp toward a WWE ring again--and we can all tell him he sucks to the beat of his awesome theme song.
