Kurt Angle, a true American Hero, weighs in on his formal squared circle rival, Dwayne "The Rock Johnson" being approached by both the Democratic and Republican parties about a potential presidential bid.
The Rock recently revealed that he was approached by both major American political parties in regards to him making a potential run in the race for the White House. While somebody who has been featured on a WrestleMania running for president of the United States is no longer an anomaly, The Rock has continued to keep his name out of the political game.
On the most recent episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle briefly commented on the news, saying that he felt bad for Rock being potentially put in the middle of both political parties like that and joked that the best thing for him to do would be to run as an independent.
"Yeah, I feel badly for him. Even if he did run for office, what side is he going to do? He's screwed either way... Run independent and come up with your own concepts," Angle said with a laugh, noting that he would be the first one there to celebrate should The Rock ever actually win a presidential election.
In the past, the Rock has explained why he doesn't actively seek such a political run. Read his comments here.
In his sitcom, Young Rock, the premise was that The Rock was running for office. Even though the show has been canceled, Harvey Wippleman, one of Johnson's oldest friends in the wrestling industry and a character in the show, recently advised fans of the series to stay tuned. Read more here.
