John Cena counts the three as LA Knight picks up the most significant victory of his WWE career to date. Yeah!
John Cena was the host of WWE Payback 2023, and for his first edict, he made himself the special guest referee in a match between The Miz and the LA Knight. Cena would trade verbal barbs with his former rival Miz prior to the match and then Cena introduced Knight so the match could begin.
At several points in the match, Cena had tense confrontations with both LA Knight and The Miz, but in the end, Knight was able to put the Miz away with the BFT as John Cena counted 1-2-3.
Following the match, John Cena would shake the hand of LA Knight in a moment of respect.
