Lacey Evans: I Have What It Takes To Be Champion And The Face Of WWE

Lacey Evans believes in herself. And she once again has the chance to prove she's a top star in her current feud against Bayley and Sasha Banks.

After failing to take the Raw Women's Title from Becky Lynch earlier this year, Evans is now engaged in a battle against SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley and her best friend Sasha Banks. On-screen Evans has not been thrilled with how Bayley and Banks portray themselves as being above everyone. And she definitely didn't appreciate Banks mentioning her daughter on social media.

"I'm most excited about getting my hands on Sasha Banks," said Evans on WWE After The Bell. "I love my job, my career, the opportunities I'm getting. But you do not talk about my daughter. The audacity of someone to bring my daughter up in this line of work is absurd. I will not regret what I physically do to that woman. That's what I'm most excited about. The fact that her sidekick with the bob cut Bayley is the SmackDown Women's Champion, that's another goal of mine to take that off of her because I'm convinced, without a shadow of a doubt, that I have what it takes to be a champion and the face of this company in order to make a difference in a positive way. The audacity to bring my daughter up and everything else, working my ass off in this company, is there anything else she could have said different to create heat, anger, or tell a story? I think she took a low blow that she's not ready to defend."

Evans' daughter became a focal point of the storyline on the recent Friday Night SmackDown. Sitting front row, Evans' daughter watched as her mom did battle with Bayley and Sasha Banks.

Elsewhere during the interview, Evans discussed her upbringing and how it shaped her. You can view her full comments by clicking here.
