The Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match has its first competitor.
During the June 10 episode of WWE SmackDown, qualification began for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match with Lacey Evans facing off against Xia Li. This was Evans’ first match since February 8, 2021, as she announced her pregnancy the following week on WWE Raw.
Vignettes for Lacey’s return began airing on SmackDown in the weeks after WrestleMania 38, in which she detailed her tumultuous upbringing and road to WWE. She was briefly moved back to Raw but that decision was quickly rescinded.
In what was a fairly brief match, Evans defeated Xia Li after hitting the Woman's Right. With that, she becomes the first of seven women to qualify for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
