Leila Grey wants even more opportunities for The Baddies to obtain gold in All Elite Wrestling.
Leila Grey is the remaining Baddie alongside Jade Cargill in AEW. Where there was once also Red Velvet and Kiera Hogan, it is now simply Jade and Leila staking their claim as the Baddies.
As a twosome, Grey believes she and Cargill could be the perfect future AEW Tag Team Champions should AEW ever decide to create a tag team division for its women.
"100%. Leila Grey and Jade Cargill, we are the tag team champions of the future. Tony Khan, make it happen," she said in a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm when asked whether or not she'd be interested in creating a Tag Team Championship for the women of AEW.
Grey also addressed her journey to AEW in this interview, crediting a Facebook message from QT Marshall and her ability to seize upon an opportunity, despite her lack of experience, to get her where she is today.
"My story with AEW is pretty crazy because I have not been in the business for a very long time. After I made my debut, which was in 2020 during COVID, I would say maybe about four months after my debut, I did get a Facebook message from QT Marshall. He asked me if I was interested in coming to Dark. ‘Of course I’m interested in coming to Dark.’ At that time, I didn’t have a lot of experience. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I was not going to let the opportunity slip through my fingers. I went, gave it my all, and I guess they liked what they saw because here I am today—the Baddie of AEW," she said.
Grey is not the first person to advocate for the creation of AEW Women's Tag Team Champions, as Saraya has also discussed her desire to see these titles created in the past. Read more at this link.
While Jade is happy having Leila by her side, she said she would like names such as Cardi B and Beyoncé to be a part of her all-star Baddie squad. Read more here.
