Lexis King: I'm Valued For What I Bring To The Table

Lexis King speaks on the difference between AEW and WWE.

Before he became Lexis King when he signed with WWE in July 2023, King was Brian Pillman Jr in AEW. Pillman Jr was largely featured on AEW Dark during his time with the promotion. As Lexis King, he's been featured weekly on NXT TV.

Amir Khan On Potentially Crossing Over To WWE: That Is Something I’d Jump At

“It’s night and day, you know what I mean? I’m not gonna talk too much about Brian Pillman Jr. and the trials and tribulations that he dealt with at AEW, but here at NXT, I mean, shoot, the King’s got it all. I got the respect of the locker room, I got a spot on the show, I’m valued for what I bring to the table, my ability inside the ring, outside the ring. It’s day and night here. There’s a direction for me. I got my eye on the prize, you know what I mean? That’s not anybody’s fault but my own. We saw what happened in Jacksonville, when Pillman Jr.’s eye wasn’t on the ball. I was a shadow of who I am now. I was a nobody because I wasn’t focused on the prize, but here at NXT, we’ve got the Performance Center. I’ve got a place to train. I got young guys and girls looking up to me, who depend on me to go out there and perform and be The King and set an example. So I don’t have time for all this going out and this partying and this DJing bullshit. I come into this gym and I work out in front of these professional coaches, and we get the ball rolling to become the best version of ourselves," he told Busted Open Radio.

King was defeated by Eddy Thorpe on Tuesday's NXT.

Elsewhere during the interview, King commented on how MJF would fare in WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
