Lexis King tried to win the WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship on his own merit but succumbed to Charlie Dempsey's expertise.
King was down a fall and nursing an apparent knee injury when the legend himself, William Regal, offered him his signature brass knuckles. King declined to use the knuckles and ultimately was pinned by Charlie Dempsey following a German Suplex.
Regal had agreed to be in King's opposite his own son, Charlie Dempsey, but King again refused nefarious means to his own detriment. In recent weeks Lexis King has been trying to prove that he is not like his father, Brian Pillman. Therefore, he's trying to prove that he can do things the proper way. It's not working out in his favor most weeks, however
Charlie Dempsey retains the Heritage Cup Championship.
