Cruiserweight Championship bout set.
On Wednesday's episode of NXT it was announced that Lio Rush would challenge Drew Gulak for the Cruiserweight Championship on the Oct. 9 episode of NXT. Rush became the number one contender to the Cruiserweight Championship on the Sept. 18 episode of NXT when he returned from a lengthy hiatus to defeat Oney Lorcan.

Next week will mark the first time the Cruiserweight Championship will be defended on NXT. The belt has previously been defended on pay-per-view events, WWE Raw, 205 Live, and even EVOLVE.
