In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri on Shak Wrestling, Liv Morgan talked about her SmackDown World Championship celebration.
Liv was asked if she had any conversations with herself following her celebrations backstage after winning the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship during her Money in the Bank cash-in.
"It was when I got back to my hotel room. I thought I was going to go out and celebrate. That was my intention like woo I am the champ, I cashed in. So many awesome things to celebrate. But when I got back to my room, I literally just laid on my bed and draped my title over me and I just looked at the ceiling fan and I just replayed the last two hours of my life and I just couldn't get it to feal real.. So I just sat there like 'no this happened'. I just laid there. I laid there for hours and I didn't move and I didn't go out.. Trying to absorb that moment as best as I possibly could."
Shakiel then asked Liv how her backyard wrestling childhood self would react knowing that she was going to be a WWE champion some day.
"She would be smiling ear to ear, just jaw open, just in awe. Just in disbelief that she actually did it. She would be stunned."
The interview continued with Liv being asked if there were any lows where she had doubted if this moment would ever come to fruition.
"Totally. It is like I lost confidence but I did not lose hope.. There were tons of moments where I kind of was like maybe starting to bring up the idea of maybe accepting that my wrestling career wouldn't pan out the way that I had expected it too."
Liv had continued saying that she had battled with the fact that she really thought her hard work would lead to a title but just had those doubts that it may never happen. Shakiel then asked about Alexa Bliss' story on all the girls wanting the win for Liv.
"It was amazing. It made the victory and everything so much sweeter. We all want to have this championship. So the fact that all other women took themselves out of that for a second to be genuinely happy for me just made it so much sweeter and genuinely touched me."
Liv had finished up talking about the championship win by being asked if there was any family member that was the most excited about the win. She had told Shakiel about her little sister being moved up to the front row for the cash-in and how she was very emotional and the cameras actually caught it.
Liv Morgan won the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Ronda Rousey at the beginning of July. She is currently set to have a rematch against Rousey with the championship on the line at SummerSlam.
