Liv Morgan Says She Had Mixed Feelings About Returning To Interrupt The Wedding Of Lana And Bobby Lashley

Liv Morgan reflects on that Monday Night Raw segment at the end of 2019.

Liv Morgan returned from a long hiatus on the final Monday Night Raw of 2019 to interrupt the wedding of Bobby Lashley and Lana. Upon her return, she would reveal that she and Lana had been lovers in an attempt to stop the wedding because she felt that Lana didn't love Lashley.

The clip of the wedding performed tremendously on YouTube and currently sits at over 5 million views but the rivalry itself quickly disappeared. Morgan would defeat Lana in some singles matches before moving on to a rivalry with Ruby Riott before the two would reconcile their differences and reform the Riott Squad where they currently team on Friday Night SmackDown.

Speaking with Ryan Satin of FOX Sports, Morgan admitted that she had mixed feelings about her return but ultimately felt that it was such a unique opportunity that she couldn't pass it up.

“You know, looking back, I’ve had mixed feelings on it, too.  But, looking back on it, I just think everything happens for a reason, you know? What we wanted to accomplish was to re-debut Liv in the biggest way possible.

“I definitely think that was accomplished. No one saw it coming. So, at the end of the day, I loved it and I’m grateful for it.”

Paul Heyman was the executive director of Monday Night Raw at the time and played a role in re-debuting the character. Morgan reflected on working with Heyman, saying that it was a huge boost to her confidence to have his support.

“It was great because I had someone that was in charge completely in my corner and wanted to see me succeed and was finding opportunities for me to show what I can do and show what range I had.  So, coming into work every week, I didn’t know what to expect. But, I knew that it was for my greater good, you know?”

She continued, “It was very cool. He’s one of the best ever. To have him to talk to and to go to for advice, or just see something more clearly than I was understanding, it was great.”

Liv Morgan, and all of the events surrounding the last year-and-a-half of her career, will be the subject of a new episode of WWE Chronicle debuting on Sunday, November 29 on WWE Network.
