Logan Paul Confirms WWE Tried To Set Up A Fight Between Him And Nate Diaz

Logan Paul confirms that he could have faced Nate Diaz.

In August, President of Real Fight Inc., Zach Rosenfield (via ESPN) stated that Nate Diaz had a "very interesting and attractive offer" to fight Logan Paul. Diaz stated that WWE tried to get involved, and that turned him off.

"The WWE came in and then they wanted to take over the whole thing," Diaz said. "I'm like, 'I just got out of the UFC, why am I going to sign with WWE?' I fight for real. I'm not gonna be doing a real fight on a WWE card or no funny s--- like that."

Speaking with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Paul was asked whether there was any truth to Diaz's claim, and Paul confirmed it. When asked why he thinks it didn't come to fruition, he noted hat he was sure Diaz has his reasons.

"Yeah, they were. You know why I think it didn’t come to fruition. I don’t know. I think Nate wanted to fight Jake. There’s no doubt that any event that I do with the WWE would be massive. They’re one of the biggest sports organizations on the planet. Where’s the hesitation? I don’t understand it. I’m sure he has his reasons," Paul said.

Diaz wound up facing Logan's brother, Jake Paul, instead, and Jake scored the win.

Logan Paul will return to boxing on October 14, as he will face Dillon Danis. More information is available here.

It is not known when Logan Paul will return to WWE.
