Vince McMahon was very impressed with Logan Paul at WrestleMania 38.
Teaming with The Miz against Rey & Dominik Mysterio, Paul showed off his athleticism and instincts at WrestleMania 38, looking like a natural in the ring. Paul built his popularity through YouTube videos and has become a digital media star, which led to him competing in an exhibition boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Paul reflected on his WrestleMania moment and how he's not rethinking his career path.
"I didn't realize how much wrestling and WrestleMania would affect my life. I love it. My whole family loves it. We all had so much fun. Now I'm sitting here pondering, literally, what to do with the course of my life. I fully have a boxing three-year plan. Now, boxing or wrestling potentially, it's so much more fun and people seem to care. It's far less dangerous, you're not getting constantly rattled in the head. Jake is doing the mixing thing. I'm good at wrestling, I feel it comes naturally to me. Imagine if I practiced, properly practiced. I showed a fraction of what I can do. If I actually got to Orlando at the Performance Center and just trained, trained, trained. I can't imagine the type of stuff I'd be able to pull off," he said.
When asked if he's been offered any type of contract, Paul said, "Not yet. Maybe they will."
He then revealed what Vince McMahon said to him after his match.
"Vince McMahon, after my match, he was stoked backstage. We shook hands. He's like, 'Trust me, your future is here.' I was like, 'Yeah, cool, sure.' It's Vince McMahon. He's a legend. Him being exciting about the new guy's performance, it's so validating. Even just the response and feedback I got online after the match. Haters or lovers, not one negative comment. I think people were surprised by my performance and I'm so grateful they liked it. I'm happy that I made them happy and was able to entertain on a stage that big," he said.
Paul & The Miz were victorious in the match, but Miz turned on Paul following their win.
On his own podcast, Paul discussed his performance at WrestleMania 38. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
