Harper had been at the WWE Performance Center for months ahead of tonight's return. He was reportedly cleared to return in mid-January.

Harper hasn't been on WWE television since he and Rowan -- known collectively as the Bludgeon Brothers -- lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to The New Day on the SmackDown following SummerSlam 2018. Rowan had been sidelined with a biceps tear suffered at SummerSlam but returned at the WWE Royal Rumble, aligning himself with WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.

Earlier in the day, Harper hinted that something might be happening tonight in Rochester.
