Luke Jacobs feels like he would be ashamed if he does not carry the PROGRESS World Title into his home town.
Earlier this year at PROGRESS Wrestling The Devil On My Shoulder, Luke Jacobs challenged Kid Lykos for the PROGRESS World Title. The match would be a short affair, with Jacobs running through the former champion to claim the gold. Since then, Jacobs has faced off with Eddie Dennis and retained in a rematch with Lykos.
While speaking to PROGRESS Wrestling in a new interview, Jacobs addressed PROGRESS' upcoming trip to Manchester, with Luke noting that he would be ashamed and embarrassed if he does not walk into the event as world champion.
"Progress is returning to Manchester and I MUST be world champion, if I do not walk into Manchester as PROGRESS Men’s World Champion I should be ashamed and embarrassed, but I’m not to worried about that because I’m Luke Jacobs and nobody stands a chance at taking my World Championship. I don’t get to wrestle much in Manchester and that’s a shame, so I’m very excited to return to my hometown."
PROGRESS will return to Manchester for Chapter 173 on November 17th.
Jacobs is currently scheduled to defend his championship vs Timothy Thatcher at wXw's World Tag Team Festival on October 5th.
