New champions in New Japan.
At night four of the Road to New Beginning, the trio of Togi Makabe, Toru Yano & Ryusuke Taguchi won the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Titles from the Bullet Club trio of Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa & Taiji Ishimori. Taguchi forced Ishimori to tap out to secure the win for his team.
Makabe, Yano and Taguchi won the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Gauntlet at the Wrestle Kingdom 13 pre-show to earn a shot at the titles at New Year Dash!! Bullet Club retained the titles on that night thanks to interference by Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi.
