Mark Henry Calls Jamie Hayter 'The Cream Of The Crop'; Says Willow Nightingale Wants To Be Great

Mark Henry comments on two young stars in the AEW women's division.

Mark Henry has been in professional wrestling since 1996. In that time, he has seen many evolutions of the wrestling industry and many stars come and go. Currently, Henry works for All Elite Wrestling. Part of the allure of AEW is its roster of young stars, including Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, Anna Jay, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Daniel Garcia, and more.

During a recent interview on the Sports Guys Talk Wrestling podcast, Henry commented on the current state of the women's division, the ongoing issue between homegrown stars, and the collection of former WWE Superstars known as The Outcasts.

Henry says he doesn't like what Saraya, Toni Storm, and Ruby Soho are trying to do in the women's division and calls Jamie Hayter "the cream of the crop."

"I feel like Jamie Hayter is the cream of the crop, and I can't wait to see her completely get her shine and the other women standing up with her to allow AEW's women's division to have somebody to fight against a tyranny--which is what I feel like the other women have formed a group of people that just want to dominate the women's division and make them subservient. Not a fan of that. So I guess I'm on the side of Jamie Hayter and the rest of the women at AEW, but nonetheless, they're gonna make them earn it," Henry said.

Another young star in the women's division at AEW is Willow Nightingale. The powerhouse of positivity is always in a festive mood on camera. Henry compared interacting with Nightingale to "watching puppies play." Henry also praised her work ethic, saying she does whatever she can to become the best she can be.

"Yeah, you start smiling right away. It's like seeing puppies play. She's just so fun-loving, man, and just a good human being and wants to be great," he said. "[She] is doing everything in her power to be great. She'll walk up and just ask you questions. Just, 'I was thinking about doing this. I don't know. Historically, do you know if this will work?; She's that kid."

The homegrown stars recently received a new ally when Hikaru Shida returned on May 3, 2023. Learn more about that here.
