Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Mark Henry commented on his AEW exit and his future.

“Keep your ears to the street. I’m working on something big right now, and it’s really the main reason why I need to be on my own," Henry said.

Henry went on to state that he loves being able to give back to the business and help build the legacies of new stars. He emphasized that he enjoys mentoring people more than anything he did physically.

“I love the fact I can give back. That’s what I’m trying to do. I want to give back and help build new legacies, like Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, Jade Cargill, Samantha Irvin, and Bianca Belair. Helping mentor people, I enjoy that more than anything else I do. I want to be remembered for more than what I did physically," Henry said.

The legend also looked ahead to the future. Barrasso noted that Henry would soon share more details about his next project and wrote that the latter believes that it will make a difference in wrestling.

“I believe in what I’m doing and I’m putting all my heart into it. I couldn’t do that being an employee. I need to be my own boss," Henry said.
