Marty Scurll Wins IWGP Jr. Title At Power Struggle, Three Challengers Call Him Out

Marty Scurll is the new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion.

He did what he had set out to accomplish, pinning Will Ospreay with a roll up to win the IWGP Jr. title. Ospreay had only held the title for a month, defeating KUSHIDA for the first time at King of Pro Wrestling last month.

After the match, Will Ospreay got in the referee's face over the loss and tried to intimidate him over the three count. KUSHIDA came out to smooth things over, but then challenged new champion Scurll for the title. Ospreay got into it with KUSHIDA, telling him that he, using not so friendly words, needed to get back on the Delorean and get out of here.

Hiromu Takahashi followed. Since he's spent the last few months trying to challenge for the IWGP Jr. title, only to be laid out by someone else, this time he put on a helmet and cut a promo saying he wanted his title back. Eventually this all led to Scurll saying he'd take on all four of them in a fatal four way match.

The WrestleKingdom theme music played following the promos. It seems that the Tokyo Dome show will be where this title match goes down, but it hasn't been outright confirmed just yet.
