Matt Cardona says Maven is not tough enough.
Maven officiated The Cardonas' vow renewal at the end of GCW Homecoming Part 2 on August 14. Highlights of the eventful ceremony included Maki Itoh singing and Blake Christian hugging Matt, his former foe. But Nick Gage crashed the party and hit Cardona's father with a light tube. He also repeatedly sliced the former GCW World Champion with a pizza cutter, busting him wide open the process. Hoping to save himself, Maven seemingly ran away when Gage came to the ring
The next day, Cardona commented on the situation in a video he posted on Twitter. He called Maven a coward and stated that he's not tough enough.
"Nick Gage, you piece of shit. My mom’s mad. [I’m] covered in blood, wiping the blood still coming out. Wiping cake [off], look at [Chelsea]. This is our fucking wedding, Nick. Maven, you coward, you just left? Fuck you, Maven. You’re not tough enough, fuck you Maven," Cardona said.

Maven famously won the first season of WWE Tough Enough alongside Nidia in 2001.
