Matt Cardona does not regret being with WWE for so long up until his release back in April.
After being released by WWE after more than a decade with the company, Cardona showed up in AEW in recent weeks, even teaming with current TNT Champion Cody in his in-ring debut. But before that, there was a time where Chris Jericho advised him to try his hand wrestling outside of WWE. Speaking to Sportskeeda, Cardona said he doesn't have any regrets leaving WWE sooner.
"I do not live in regrets... I live in the future, in the present, never in the past. You know? You can learn from the past, but I never, I never think like, what if or why didn't I do that? Uh, you know, because what's the point you can't change it," Cardona said.
Cardona also addressed some of the criticism about him going to AEW due to his long-time friendship with Cody, who also serves as AEW EVP. Cardona said he's not concerned with those criticisms and wants to look out for his supporters instead.
"I’m sure there's some haters out there. He's Cody's friend, he's the ex WWE guy, whatever. I don't, I don't deal with the haters. I don't care about proving haters wrong. I want to prove my supporters right. That's what this is all about," Cardona said.
