Matt Cardona and Bully Ray will clash in a heated rematch.
Cardona and Ray have been feuding for months, as the veteran has "extreme-shamed" Cardona while the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion remains adamant that he is an ECW Original. They traded shots in interviews and on social media over the course of several weeks. Ray defeated Cardona at the Battleground Championship Wrestling Tribute To The Extreme event on December 17, 2022. The two stars have reignited their rivalry in the NWA, as Ray somewhat cost Cardona his mach with NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus at NWA Nuff Said.
Battleground Championship Wrestling announced that Ray and Cardona will face off at the "Legends Never Die" event, which will be held on July 1 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The loser of the match will be banned from the 2300 Arena for life.
