Matt Hardy offers an update on Marq Quen's injury.
Quen recently confirmed that he's sidelined, but he stated that he'll be back "faster than a barefoot jackrabbit on a hot greasy griddle in the middle of August!!" He hasn't wrestled since the December 2 episode of AEW Rampage, which was taped on November 30.
Speaking on his Extreme Life with Matt Hardy podcast, the veteran commented on Quen's injury and noted that it's unclear whether he'll need surgery. He expressed his hope that Quen will be able to rehabilitate the injury and return.
“We don’t know how long it’s going to be specifically. We’re still awaiting the information, if he can just rehabilitate his injury and do therapy, or if he actually has to have surgery. So we shall see. Hopefully it is just rehabilitation and we can get him back sooner than later," Hardy said.
Hardy also previewed his new dynamic with Ethan Page. For a number of weeks, Hardy and Page struggled to get along, as "All Ego" ordered Matt around and punished Private Party, seemingly in an effort to get under the veteran's skin. But recently, Page and Hardy have been getting along, and Matt teased that this new development will continue to play out.
“I’ll give you the inside scoop here. This Monday on Elevation, it’s gonna be myself, Ethan Page and Isiah in a trios tag match. We kind of have a new dynamic going on right now, myself and Ethan. So it’s getting ready to get very interesting I think," Hardy said.
Fightful Select recently reported that Hardy and Page have created most of their own storyline. More information is available here.
