Matt Hardy previews The Firm Deletion.
For months, Matt Hardy and Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) have been unwilling members of The Firm, as the group acquired their contracts. Hardy seemingly formed a friendship with Ethan Page after "All go" initially mistreated him, but it was all a ruse, as Matt turned on him on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On the May 5 episode of AEW Rampage, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Isiah Kassidy, and HOOK will battle The Firm (Ethan Page, Big Bill, Lee Moriarty, and Stokely Hathaway) in The Firm Deletion, the newest addition to the series of cinematic matches that have been taped at the Hardy Compound. With a win, Matt Hardy, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen Quen will earn their freedom from The Firm.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the veteran shared his thoughts ahead of the airing of The Firm Deletion.
“I feel like this Firm Deletion is going to be a little different than any of the other Deletion matches that have taken place on the Hardy Compound. I think we have walked a very fine line with this thing. I think we’re going to be walking a very fine line where we’re still going to give you the classic moments and entertainment of a Hardy Compound Deletion match, but we’re also definitely going to feel the taste of pro wrestling and violence and some amazing athleticism within the match as well. We have eight insane athletes, we have some surprise cameos. I’m gonna tell you, House Hardy is going to be lurking in the scenes, and they would love nothing more than to get their hands on one Stokely Hathaway, especially because he’s been talking so much trash about my kids and my wife, and about Senior Benjamin, all of House Hardy. I’m telling you, Stokely, watch your back when you’re here on the Hardy Compound," Hardy said.
Hardy continued by noting that Hathaway will be running from the wrestlers, but he should avoid the house as well. He warned that something bad may happen if Hathaway runs into the house, as it will be full of the members of The House Hardy.
“I think Stokely is going to be running from all of the wrestlers. He’s going to be running from a Matt Hardy, he’s going to be running from an Isiah, he’s going to be running from a HOOK, he’s going to be running from a Jeff Hardy. But if he happens to run into the house, the house is going to be full of members of House Hardy. That would be terrible. Something terrible might happen to him if he decides to do that," Hardy said.
