Matt Hardy talks Private Party's big win.
On the October 30 edition of AEW Dynamite, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) cemented their legacy in AEW by defeating the Young Bucks to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships. It appears that Kassidy and Quen sent the Bucks out of the company for a while too, as Nicholas and Matthew claimed that they were going to work from home for the foreseeable future.
While speaking to Jon Alba on the latest edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, Hardy talked about the duo's win and how it's cool that they are champions at the same time as The Hardys.
“I was pretty positive they were gonna win from speaking to them. In pro wrestling though, it is never official until it actually happens and it goes down in real time. That was great, I know I made a quick post about them and I even acknowledged how it cool it was that we had just won the TNA tag team titles and they won the AEW tag team titles. Very very cool, all of Hardy party is strapped up now with a little bit of gold on the shoulder.”
After recapping the match, Hardy went on to praise the finish of the match.
“The finish was phenomenal. The finish validated that it was the right call because everyone in that venue went crazy. It was like, we want these guys to win, we want these guys to succeed, but we’re not sure if they’re going to give that to them, we’re not sure if they’re gonna reward them with that opportunity. When they were rewarded, it was a very special moment and the building was enthusiastic and electric.”
Matt Hardy recently explained why he thinks Chris Jericho should still be on AEW/ROH TV. Check out his full comments here.
