Matt Hardy's mystery partner was revealed in the main event of Triplemania XXX: Tijuana.
Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy were scheduled to face Dralistico and Dragon Lee in the main event, but that was not meant to be. Jeff Hardy was arrested due to a DUI on 6/13/2022, blowing a 0.294 (you can read more about it here). Due to this, Jeff Hardy was removed from the match in Triplemania, leaving Matt to find a replacement. Luckily, he found the right person.
During the AAA Show, Matt Hardy revealed that his partner for his match against Dralistico & Dragon Lee would be none other than the former John Morrison, going by Johnny Hardy for the night. Johnny dressed for the part, wearing similar clothes to Jeff.
Unfortunately, Morrison betrayed Hardy during the match but was pinned by Dragon Lee to lose the match. Hardy hit a Twist of Fate on Morrison after the match, before shaking the hands of Los Hermanos Lee.
This was not the first time Morrison faced Dralistico & Dragon Lee, as they previously wrestled each other in a triple threat tag team match at TripleMania XXX: Monterrey (results for the show here).
Morrison recently wrestled in a match against a returning Miro in the 6/1/2022 edition of AEW Dynamite (results for the show here).
