Matt Hardy talks 'Speedball' Mike Bailey.
On November 14, Fightful Select put out a report stating that Mike Bailey appears to be heading to AEW just weeks after his contract with TNA expired. The news was met with much praise online, as many fans believe that Bailey would be a fantastic addition to AEW's evergrowing roster.
Matt Hardy is a fan of the move too, calling Bailey an "ideal fit" for AEW. Hardy spoke about the news in length on the latest edition of his podcast, The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy.
“I think he is an ideal fit for AEW, especially with their style and the matches they are typically looking for to produce on their television. He’s gonna do great out there. I have nothing but the greatest things to say about Mike Bailey. My time working with him has been a pleasure, he really gets it, he gets the idea of classic wrestling and storytelling a lot better than I expected him to because I knew he was a guy that was flashy and doing fancy super cool moves. He’s a great athlete but he’s got a great mind. He was really good at like implementing myself and Trent Seven when we teamed up and we had this small storyline arc. He was really about putting everybody’s stuff in the right place. Big fan of Mike Bailey and I think he’s got a ton of potential. Just a real sweetheart of a human being.”
Fightful will update fans when/if Bailey arrives in All Elite Wrestling.
