Matt Riddle reflects on running into Bret in catering at a WWE event.
During Matt Riddle's time in WWE, he rubbed several legends the wrong way, including Brock Lesnar, Goldberg and more. However, now Riddle has spoken about running into Bret Hart at a WWE event.
While speaking to Sportskeeda in a recent interview, Riddle reflected on his interaction with The Hitman.
"So I'm at catering. I'm enjoying it, and I get a table with Bret Hart, and I'm like, oh, this is cool. I'm not going to be a super marketer, but I'm going to ask a couple questions to the hitman. Bret wouldn't even respond to me or my friend Damien Priest at the time, because we were sitting next to some pretty attractive ladies, and I asked them about their work rate, this, that, and the other thing, how many years, you know, didn't ask me or Priest a single question, you know, we didn't talk. I don't know about him not being able to let go of this whole Goldberg thing. Goldberg's come out and said, It wasn't intentional. I never would have done it. Well, it's not a matter of intentions. Honestly, I think that's one of Bret's flaws. You know? Because honestly, I can hold a grudge against a lot of people. Especially, you know, the shit people. The things people have said about me that are lies and everything else. I just... What am I supposed to do? Complain? Get out of my soapbox and preach about it? I don't care. The cream always rises to the top. I'll just keep working hard and doing the right thing."
