Matt Riddle is ready for a busy 2024.
On September 22nd of 2023, Matt Riddle would be released by WWE in a round of releases that also included Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler and more. Since then, his non-compete clause has expired and has been announced to compete in MLW on January 6th vs Jacob Fatu.
The former MMA fighter attended the 2023 MMA Awards, even presenting on the show in the process. Prior to the show, he would be interviewed by Cageside Press and was asked about his plans for 2024.
"2024 is a big year, I'm going to keep pro wrestling, I'll be traveling a lot let's just say that, a lot of overseas tours stuff like that. I'm good, just hanging out, just had my fourth child little Matthew, this is big Matthew, and I'm excited for 2024. It's a new year, definitely not a new me, but I would say a more improved me. That's it dude, just having fun and taking it day by day." he said.
Prior to his release from WWE, Riddle falsely accused a police officer of sexual assault in early September.
