Matthew Jackson Thanks Fans For Their Support, Says He Would Have 'Called It A Night' A Long Time Ago Without Them

The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) made their AEW in-ring return on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, defeating Kevin Knight & "Speedball" Mike Bailey.

It was the first match in AEW for the Bucks since losing the AEW Tag Team Titles to Private Party (Zay & Quen) in October 2024.

Matthew posted the following message on Instagram following their return:

Nothing but love to the real ones who’ve never stopped supporting us. To the ones who didn’t fall for the phony character assassination clickbait articles. The rumors, the lies. You had our backs the whole time & it didn’t go unnoticed. We still do this for you. I would have probably called it a night a long time ago without your support. Let’s keep going. Let’s come back bigger, better & sharper. What is ‘the feeling’ everyone talks about? It’s you. You’re the recipe. Onward & upward.

The Bucks did wrestle two matches in Japan during their AEW hiatus, winning and losing the IWGP Tag Team Championships.
