Matthew Rehwoldt 'Confirms' The Next GTA VI Trailer Will Drop On Rusev Day

'Tis the season to remember Rusev Day.

Days ahead of the 2024 Game Awards, Matthew Rehwoldt has dropped a scoop that will change the entire gaming landscape. The TNA Wrestling color commentator who was formerly known as Aiden English in WWE has totally seriously "confirmed" that the long-awaited next trailer Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on Rusev Day.

Take that Geoff Keighley, you've been out-scooped by a former NXT Tag Team Champion.

Rumors do persist that we could see a second trailer of GTA VI, before the end of the year. Of course, there is no actual release date for GTA VI, but the game is expected to be released in the latter half of 2025. The good news is every day is Rusev Day, so Matthew Rehwoldt isn't being entirely misleading.

Rusev Day it's not only a holiday, but it was the name of the former stable featuring Rehwoldt, Rusev (AEW's Miro), and Lana (CJ Perry).

The window of time between Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto VI is so wide that when GTA V was released, Rusev and Aiden English had yet to debut on the WWE roster.

Since then, Rusev has appeared in six WWE console game releases, two mobile game releases, and been released by WWE. He was also hired by AEW, which did not exist when GTA V was released, and added to their console game release, AEW: Fiight Forever—all of these games also released on Rusev Day.
