It wasn't televised, but Mayu Iwatani & Arisa Hoshiki made history at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14, defeating Hana Kimura & Giulia. The Stardom bout was a non-televised affair, only available to those live at the Tokyo Dome. It is unknown if the bout will air on Stardom World or NJPW World in the future.
Iwatani, the World Of Stardom Champion, and Hoshiki, the Wonder of Stardom Champion, picked up the victory with Mayu pinning Hana. Kimura and Giulia, who fought to a draw at Stardom Year-End Climax 2019, reportedly could not get along during the bout.
The tag team affair marked the first time a female match took place at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom.
