In the heyday of World Championship Wrestling, Michael Buffer was the ring announcer for some of the most iconic moments. Whether it was the night that Goldberg defeated Hulk Hogan to capture the WWE Championship or the night that Hulk Hogan turned on WCW, Michael Buffer and his prolific voice provided the backdrop that preceded and followed all of the most talked-about moments in WCW history.

Buffer made one appearance for WWE after WCW closed in 2001. That was in the 2008 Royal Rumble in Madison Square Garden where Michael Buffer was the ring announcer for the titular match, one by John Cena who was coming back from a pectoral injury.

Now, on Twitter, Michael Buffer has revealed that he would come back to wrestling in a heartbeat and he had a great fondness for the athleticism and performance of professional wrestling.

WWE has recently made shake-ups to its Monday night broadcast team. Adnan Virk has joined the commentary booth alongside Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Follow along with our live coverage of Monday Night Raw here.
