On commentary, Michael Cole noted that Luke Gallows, AJ Styles' stablemate in The O.C., was injured, so he was unable to be there at ringside. Additional details were not provided.

Gallows appeared in a backstage segment on the September 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, as Styles got into a heated argument with him, Karl Anderson, and Michin before his match with Jimmy Uso. Gallows last wrestled at the WWE SuperShow live event on August 20. There, he teamed up with Styles and Anderson to defeat Austin Theory, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin.

As of this writing, the exact nature of Gallows' injury is not clear. There is no word on how long he will be out of action.

Fightful will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
