Mickie James battled Asuka for the Raw Women's Title this past Monday on Raw, and there was some controversy with the finish.
Mickie was pinning Asuka, but Asuka reversed into the Asuka Lock and the referee quickly stopped the bout without Mickie tapping. Mickie had a look of shock and disbelief on her face as Asuka was declared the victor. WWE's official explanation was that Asuka won via referee's decision.
Appearing on The Bump, Mickie addressed the finish.
"I'm heartbroken. I can't even watch it, I'm so devastated. I pinned her! I don't understand. The referee makes the call they feel is correct in that moment. I felt like I was still fighting, I tried to roll back to cover her. She reversed it, but in that moment...I don't know. I don't want to say I got screwed, but I may have gotten screwed," she said.
Trish Stratus, who was a guest on the show as well, said she was confused by the finish.
Mickie did have praise for Asuka, saying she would go down as one of the greatest female competitors of all-time.
