Mistico provided an update.
On March 24th, CMLL announced that Mistico would be out for two weeks due to an injury that he suffered, and he would need two weeks to recover.
Speaking on the March 26th episode of CMLL Informa, Mistico and Dr. Roberto Rodriguez discussed his injuries. It was noted that Mistico has a partially torn right tricep and a ligament injury in his right ankle. Mistico will need to medicate, rehab, and rest, but the injuries do not appear to be serious.
Mistico noted that the arm injury happened when he was competing in Japan in February. While he always tried to make his scheduled dates, the doctor said that Mistico would likely need to get surgery if he worked through them.
According to the doctor, Mistico will need two or three weeks to recover. As a result, he will miss his scheduled appearance with MLW, as well as his matches at Tijuana, Queretaro, Toluca, and Merida, among other events.
Mistico was set to defend his MLW World Middleweight Championship against Templario at MLW Battle Riot VII on April 5th.
Fightful wishes Mistico well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
