Mr. Miz (George Mizanin) had his WrestleMania moment at WrestleMania 35 when he stepped in the ring to confront Shane McMahon.
The moment will forever live on the Internet and it's led to Mr. Miz believing he knows everything there is to know about being a WWE superstar.
"My dad has turned that 15 minutes of fame into 15 years. Every Monday night, he calls me and goes, 'Mike, you know what you're doing wrong?' 'I don't need you to tell me...' 'Obviously, you do because I was in the ring for 15 minutes and I became a meme and went viral. Everyone was talking about me.' Now, I have to listen to him," The Miz told Sam Roberts on Notsam Wrestling podcast. "People dream of having a WrestleMania moment their entire careers. Some people never get that dream. My dad never had that dream, but made it and I don't think he understands the level of how important and cool it was. He's like, 'Of course I did it, I'm George Mizanin.'"
Maryse then shared the story of how Miz' mom Barbara wanted her WrestleMania as well once she saw how Shane was treating her son and husband.
"Mike was in the ring and Barb wanted to go downstairs. I was like, 'You can't go by the ring.' 'I'm going by the ring.' She doesn't understand that she can't just jump in there. I was battling with her and telling her, 'We're not in a bar fight here, you're not just gonna start punching and kicking people,'" said Maryse.
Miz went on to say that his parents get all the compliments and it's led them to believe that they are now big stars.
