MJF: I Won The Bidding War Of 2024. I’m F*cking Rich

MJF says he has so much money that it's hilarious.

For quite some time, MJF's future seemed unclear. Even during his reign as the AEW World Champion, he hinted at potentially signing with WWE if they offered him the most money in the Bidding War of 2024, his name for his then-looming free agency. MJF lost the title ahead of January 1, 2024, as Samoa Joe beat him at AEW Worlds End. Due to injuries, MJF was absent for a few months, but he returned at AEW Double or Nothing and made it clear that he was not going anywhere. He later said that he was making a ton of money.

In an interview with WrestleTalk, MJF commented on the Bidding War of 2024.

"I won. I’m fucking rich. It’s fucking crazy. You don’t understand. I have so much money. It’s hilarious. The whole locker room fucking hates me because they all know how much I’m making and they are not...it’s peanuts in comparison. I’m only 28. You have guys walking around in their 40s who have given their body to this industry. They’re dying, practically, and they don’t make a fraction of what I make. It’s fucking great. I got the bag. It’s sick. Tony is a fucking mark. My God. Showed me the number. Phew. Signed fast. Fast. Yes, I won," MJF said.

When asked whether he had had conversations with WWE, MJF stated that he would not answer that for legal reasons.

"I can’t answer that for legal reasons because if I did have conversations with WWE, that would be considered what?" MJF said.

MJF was seemingly implying that any contact would be contract tampering.

Tony Khan recently said that he did not think that contract tampering from WWE had stopped. Check out his comments here.

Khan previously said that he was happy to have MJF back in AEW. Check out his comments here.
